Sunday marked Mother’s Day in the United States, a day that is not finished by a lot of emotion.

Although it was a special day, many things still happen in the golf world and one of Htem was the Classical’s Classic by Carlisle Arizona on the Epson Tour. It was Sophia Popov who came at the top, her fifth professional victory, and she did this with four general generations of her family (her grandmother, mother and daughter were all there).

Popov, the open champion of the 2020 AIG ladies, is a resident of Arizona, so her family was present her victory personally. In her comments after that she became quite emotional, especially because it all related to her 2-year-old daughter Maya, what about Mother’s Day.

“You only get this opportunity eleven a year, so I think that was again, and I think I started the round, I thought a lot about it, and I tried to calm my brain a lot, because I was so, there are sanduars going on, many thoughts and what if you have to play 18 holes.

Popov’s father was so on her bag and the event was a family affair for her. It is easy to see how it was all incredibly emotional for her, especially because she fought so hard to find the right form of lately. Thanks to this victory and her T30 on the first LPGA -Major of the Year in the Chevron, she goes into a few more fields and is more likely to shine.

Congratulations to her and her family.
