Steve Kerr has never been anyone who shunned for his beliefs. That continued on Tuesday evening when the head coach of the Warriors wore a Harvard basket bar shirt during his press conference after the game a statement of speaking about educational freedom.

“I believe in academic freedom. But a kind of par for the course now.

The struggle between Harvard University and the Trump government continues after the school refused to collaborate with the Ministry of Education for Public Initiatives that claims the federal government that is fighting anti -Semitism at university – but critics are trying to violate the rights of the first amendment by forbiding Israëls occupation of Palestina and Gaza. Moreover, Harvard President Alan Garber said that the government’s initiatives aim to limit intellectual freedom to possibly shape what the university can and cannot teach.

As a result, $ 2.2 billion in Harvard is remembered, where President Trump should last the school, should be a tax -free status to be a political entity.

This problem comes especially close to home for Kerr. His father, Malcolm, was the president at the American University of Beirut, where he was vocal about conflicts in the middle. Seen on a large scale as a center who was just as critical about Israeli and Arab politics in the region in the 1970s and 80s, Malcolm Kerr was murdered outside of his office in 1984 when two shooters shots him outside his office at the university campus. The Islamic Jihad organization claimed responsibility, but their motivates are still unknown. It is stated that Kerr’s pronounced criticism of Hardline Arabic politics may have contributed to his murder.

Steve Ker knows the dangers of the university that becomes the government, regardless of which side of the spectrum they are. That is why the problem of Harvard University is probably so important to him.
