Every April there is a single event that is the calendar in women’s basketball.

While the transfer portal is raging and the coaching carousel continues to run, the annual WNBA concept marks the end of the university campaign and the start of the season for the best professional women’s basketball competition on the planet.

This design is interesting. While UConn Star and recently crowned national champion Paige Bueckers there is everywhere experience to go number 1 generally to the Dallas wings, what happens next, is someone’s guys. Outlooks that can be drawn up in the first round are the 6-foot-6 Dominique Malonga from France, LSU’s Aneesah Morrow, Notre Dame’s Sonia Citron, TCU’s Hailey from Lith, and a few intriguing and dynamic guards from the state.

Note, six teams arrive on Monday evening without Picks in the first round, including the Atlanta Dream, Minnesota Lynx, Las Vegas Aces, Indiana Fover, New York Liberty and the Phoenix Mercury. Almost half of the competition either exchanged picks or – in the case of the aces – had taken it from them due to the violation of the competition rules.

As the concept of Monday evening progresses, we will assess every choice in real time, and we will adapt for transactions and other surprises such as Tose is reported. Continue to catch this page to immediately get analysis on each of the first 12 selections.

Here are the choices:

1. Dallas Wings: Paige Bueckers, Uconn

Grade: A+

This was not a trail. Bueckers have long been projected as the top choice in this design and he has received comparisons with Chelsea Gray and Chris Paul. She is a versatile, well-routed and shapeshifting guard who could be the best passer, shooter, rebounder and defender of the team at Uconn Suped. Bueckers can make an elite offensive contribution with and without the ball in her hands, in the she can make shots for herself and others, while she is also able to fly around and get hold of opportunities. And if that is not Angouh, she is also a good defense. She leaves the university and enters the WNBA as a national champion, to three levels of scorer and a non-Miss prospect.

2. Seattle Storm: Dominique Malonga, France

Grade: A

The American audience must quickly become familiar with Malonga. She was compared to Victor Wembanyama and ESPN’s Andray Carter and Chiney Ogmike called her the “stealing” of the design. Malonga is 6-foot-6 and with 7-foot-1 wingspan and incredible athletics is able to thinning when she has the ball in her hands. The 19-Oar-Old was the MVP in the Eurocup last season and Argulay the best player in the French league. The WNBA taluators at The following Identified as “Lisa Leslie with 3-Pointer.” Carter also an “absolute matchup nightmare”.

3. Washington Mystics: Sonia Citron, Notre Dame

Grade: A

Citron was often overshadowed at Notre Dame because her head of the human Hooglight Reel teammates in Hannah Hidalgo and Olivia Miles, but the 6-foot-1 guard is a stop-stop on the defense and has the opportunity to make big shots on the attack. Citron has a versatile offensive package and was 37 percent 3-point shooter for the Fighting Irish. She is the prototypical three-and-d wing.

4. Washington Mystics: Kiki Iriafen, USC

Grade: B

The 6-foot-3 attacker who spent time at the university with Games for Stanford and USC is a fantastic peripher and a versatile attacker who has pulled Shamens to Chiney Ogwumike. With the mystics, however, she could fight for playing time with Aaliyah Edwards, who names the Mystics sixth from Uconn last year. Iriafen’s sweater could exist more, but she wore USC offensive when Juju Watkins with an injury perished. Iriafen makes up for what she is missing on the attack on the other side, where she is skilled in defending multiple functions and was one of the best wing defenders at the university last season.
