The Pentagon is finishing gender transition treatment for transgender troops, according to a new memorandum, as officials move to enforce President Donald Trump’s plan to get transgender troops out of the US army.
According to the instructions, the Department of Defense is prohibiting any new hormonal treatment or surgical procedures for transgender troops, according to the memorandum, Reuters reported.
“I am ordering to take the necessary measures to immediately implement this guide,” wrote the Secretary of Defense of Interim Health Affairs, Stephen Ferrara in the Memo.

A transgender service member described the measure as “the last limit in the face” to honorably troops.
“If there was any doubt, there are no longer: the members of the transgender service no longer have the right to be entitled to the same standard of medical care as their peers,” the service member told Reuters, speak under condition of anonymity for fear or directed.

“If this is true, we will find in some way possible to stop it,” Hegseeth wrote. “Taxpayers should never pay for this madness.”
Since it was confirmed as head of the Pentagon, Hegseeth has embraced efforts to eliminate diversity initiatives, partly those that apply to transgender troops.
Last week, the Court of the United States Supreme Court gave Trump administration to implement its prohibition of transgender troops in the army, which allows the Department of Defense to download thousands of current transgender troops and deny new recruits of assaulous challenges.

A memorandum launched last week revealed that Hegseeth issued instructions to start expelling the transgender troops that do not voluntarily go on June 6.
Trump had signed an executive order in January shortly after returning to the White House that reversed a Biden administration policy that had allowed transgender troops to serve.
The authorities have said that there are 4,240 transgender troops of active duty and the National Guard, although some defenders of transgender rights say that the number can be even higher.
