Senator Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., dodged the questions about his role in the deck of the mental deterioration of former President Joe Biden in CNN on Tuesday.

“I am interested in knowing as you saw that day there, you were there, you saw it closely and personal, did you really have an idea that was not suitable to serve a second term?” Hunt asked, referring to a February 2024 Oval office meeting.
“Kasie, we are waiting,” Schumer replied. “We have the greatest cutting of Medicaid in front of us. We are at risk of the entire federal government.”
“But you face all this because it resolves a presidential election. And it is not that responsibility of Joe Biden to decide to work again?” Hunt interrupted.
“We are waiting,” Schumer repeated.
“That’s all?” Hunt replied.
“That’s all,” Schumer replied.

Schumer gave the same response that a press conference made that day when a journalist asked him if he was being straight with the American public in the publication in X was in June that the president “in command and impressive” at the meetings.
This reporter juxtaposed the publication of Schumer with a source that describes Tapper and Thompson a “scary” moment that same month when Biden did not recognize the award -winning actor George Clooney in his infamous fund collector.
Schumer ruled out the question, saying: “We are waiting.”

In February 2024, Schumer defended Biden and insisted that attacks on his skills were “right -wing propaganda.”
“His mental acuity is great. It is fine. It is good as a bone over the years. I have spoken with him for 30 years, since we work on Brady’s bill and the prohibition of assault weapons when he was a young congressman. And Heer’s was disappointed in the fairt-winganda is incorrect,” said Schumer at the time.
Later, The New York Times reported that Schumer was one of the multiple democratic leaders who convinced Biden privately to leave the race.
