An earthquake of magnitude of 5.2 hit San Diego at 10:08 am on Monday, according to the United States Geological Service.

The Epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at 2.49 miles south of Julian, in San Diego County.

According to the USGS map, the earthquake was widely felt throughout southern California and Mexico.

The seismologist, Dr. Lucy Jones, said that this earthquake is probably associated with Elsinore’s failure, which is a largest failure system in San Andreas. Jones said that the depth of the earthquake was about eight miles under the surface of the earth.

Jones said that the 3.3-Magnitude earthquake in the same area was a pre-pread of the 5.2 magnitude of Monday.
