In a dramatic movement to protect the United States livestock industry, the Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, warned Mexico that the United States will stop imports of living animals, including cattle and bison, if Mexico has no effect.

In a letter sent on Saturday and obtained by Fox News, Secretary Rollins put the Mexican government on a warning to act immediately to combat the propagation of the New World of screw or face a serious economic consequence on the border.

The USDA has established a firm deadline or April 30 for Mexico to approach the growing crisis, or the US input ports. UU. They will cause key animals products.

Federal dietary guidelines will soon change for Americans, HHS and USDA announce

“I must inform you that if these problems are not solved for Wednesday, April 30, the USDA will restrict the importation of animal products, which consist of living, bison and equine origin of transport to Mexico to protect agriculture.

The New World of Screw, a fly of eighty meat whose larvae can decimate cattle populations, has extended rapidly from Central America to southern Mexico. USDA officials have long trusted a sophisticated sterile insect technique (SIT), using deceptive airplanes equipped to release sterile flies, to keep mortal pests under control. But that strategy is now in danger.

In the heart of the conflict there is a dynamic aviation, a carrier hired by the United States government in charge of aerial flies dispersions. According to the letter, the Mexican aviation authorities are limiting Dynamic’s operations just six days a week under a temporary permit of 60 days, a movement that the USDA says undercides the urgent response and around the day you need to stop.

Even more worrying, Rollins said that Mexican customs officials are imposing delivery duties on critical supplies such as sterile flies, aviation pieces and dispersion equipment, all financed by US taxpayers to both nations. These delays are expectations and threaten to paralyze the campaign just when the speed is more vital.

Rollins demands an imedized action of Mexico, including long -term operational authorization for dynamic aviation, full -service winners in all emergency materials and the appointment of a higher level link to accelerate solutions.

Rollins warned every day, it gives the screw worm a larger support point and runs the risk of devastating US farmers and the broader agricultural economy.

In an attempt for recovery cooperation, Rollins also proposed an emergency summit of USxico with government leaders, technical experts and operational partners to return to the track.

Washington’s message is clear: Mexico must move, and fast, or face new and harsh commercial restrictions designed to protect food supply and the United States agricultural communities.
