The former president of the United States, Joe Biden, has ruled his first important speech since he left office, defending the retirement help that, according to him, is threatened by the wide administrative reforms of President Donald Trump.

In statements to the defenders of disability in Chicago, Biden said that the trump administration cuts to the Federal Labor Force, headed by the Efficiency Department of the multi -million dollar government, Ally, were causing a level of “impressive” destruction.

“Less than 100 days, this administration has caused so much damage and so much destruction: it is a child of impressive that could happen soon,” said Biden.

“They have tasks of a Social Security ax, pushing 7,000 employees by the door,” said the former president, referring to the National Agency that pays the benefits of retirement and disability.

The 82 -year -old Democrat spoke for about 30 minutes, sometimes showing the signs of aging that led him to give up his re -election campaign last year, including occasional stumbling stations in his delivery.

Trump highlighted Biden’s false steps by publishing a video clip of a part of his comments that seemed disjointed.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) also responded to Biden’s claims, accusing the former president of “lying” about the efforts to reform agencies in a position on X.

Former President Joe Biden is lying to Americans.

Here are the facts:

1 pass⃣ President Trump has repeatedly promised to protect Social Security and guarantee the payment of older homes for older people by ending taxes on social security benefits.

The SSA, created in 1935 by then President Franklin D Roosevelt, pays $ 1.4 billion for benefits to 73 million American citizens of advanced age and disabled annually. Duration Trump’s electoral campaign repeatedly promised not to reduce those benefits.

But Doge team members have been auditing the agency, which Musk has criticized as “the largest Ponzi scheme of all time.” Dege plans to reduce at least 7,000 employees and close offices.

Meanwhile, Social Security recipients have complained about the long waiting times of calls, with the portal of the agencies that suffer embedded interruptions.

“People cannot log in to their accounts,” Biden said in his direction. “Who the hell believes they are?” He said about the Trump administration.

The eligible people for supplementary security income, including disabled older adults and low -income adults and children, have also reported that they received a message informing them that “they were not receiving benefits”, a warning that the agency said it was an error.

“They are shooting first and pointing later,” said Biden. “They want to destroy it so they can steal it. Why do they want to steal it? To give tax cuts to billionaires and large corporations.”

‘Distract Trump’

Some Democrats had been refining Biden’s speech, saying that it could be better for him not to enter the political fray again.

Karen Finney, a Democratic strategist, said that many Democrats are concerned that Biden’s appearance will distract from the political and economic setback that Trump is receiving for triggering a commercial war with China and imposing tariffs on other countries.

“We are finally beginning to see cracks in the armor in terms of Trump’s policies,” said Finney. “You don’t want to become a lightning rod that distracts Trump. And I could facilitate Trump to change the topic to Biden.”

Biden left the position in January with one of the lowest approval grades for a president after World War II, with 38 percent, according to an opinion survey of Reuters/Ipsos, after a period of four years marked by high inflation, foreign aquion and questions. Many Democrats blamed him for Trump’s victory.

The presidential historian Timothy Naftali said it was important that Biden talk about Social Security, precisely because of his age.

“I understand why those who are at the a to the a to the a to those to the biden are faded to biden,” said Naphthali. “But a very important part of the democratic base remains older people in Social Security, and Joe Biden Haas always throws his champion.”
