‘Boy Meets World’ star spent last decade afraid of singing for an audience

Matthew Lawrence faced a fear of a decade by competing in “The Masked Singer.”

Duration An interview with Fox News Digital, Lawrence explained that it has spent the last 10 years avoiding any role that required him to sing in front of a great crowd.

“I have a little scenic fear when it comes to singing in front of great audiences, you believe it or not. And acting is a completely different thing for me,” he explained.

Lawrence shared a story of a “crazy” Broadway audition in the past where he said nothing in front of a full crowd and had to run out of the stage.

“I passed, you know, the last decade more or less say that nothing singing, and I was really acting for fear,” Lawrence said.

Then, the star of “Boy Meets World” had the opportunity to be part of “The Masked Singer”, which he initially rejected.

“And then the people around me said:” What are you doing? “You have this podcast, and you don’t talk about fear, as, take your own advice.

There were moments in the program that Lawrence was trembling and “sweat bullets”, but finally he could leave the nerves aside and enjoy the moment.

“There was a time when fear went, and I was singing for the first time with a audience. Friend, it’s like a ray in a bottle. It’s great, I loved that experience, it was great,” Lawrence said.

On Wednesday night, Lawrence was presented as a paparazzo, the Walking Chamber, in “The Masked Singer” of Fox.

Lawrence told Fox News Digital that “never” would have gone to the program if masked, and loved his letter.

“The costume, I mean, had huge feet of duck rubber. Then, the choreography was quite out of the window.

In addition to singing in a suit, Lawrence also houses the podcast “Fraternly Love” with its two brothers: Joey and Andrew Lawrence.
