Brazilian woman charged with sex crimes while in US illegally

A Brazilian woman in the United States illegally and accused of sexual crimes against a child from Massachusetts was delivered to federal custody, authorities said on Monday.

Ilma Leandro de Oliveira, 53, was arrested in Falmouth, 70 miles south of Boston, on March 20 by agents with American immigration and customs application (ICE), the FBI and the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives office).

“Ilma Leandro de Oliveira is accused of seven different crimes regarding the sexual victimization of a child in our community of Massachusetts,” said the director of the Operations Field and Operations Remains of ICE operations of Boston, Patricia H. Hyde. “These are crimes that we will simply not tolerate.”

The Oliveira was arrested by the border patrol agents of the United States on September 20, 2007, after she entered the United States near Laredo, Texas. It was attended with a warning and order of accelerated and deported extraction in December. 27, 2007.
