The former 70 -year -old leader is trying to return politics in 2026 even when he faces a criminal trial.

Jair Bolsonaro, the former president of the extreme right of Brazil, has been declared stable and without symptoms, but remains in the hospital, after the complication of abdominal pain, which forced him to expel regional tour support for a political staggering.

The last health complication on Friday occurs six years after Bolsonaro was stabbed in the stomach only one week before the 2018 presidential elections, which he won later.

The 70 -year -old, who seeks to return politician while facing a criminal trial, begins to feel “unbearable abdominal pain” in a political event in the state of Río Northatern de Rio Grande do Norte, said a member of his liberal party.

In July 2023, a Brazilian court prevented Bolsonaro from occupying a public office until 2030 after condemning him for abuse of power in his impulse to question the electronic voting system of the South American country. Bolsonaro, who served as president from 2019 to 2022, resolves President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

He has been waiting for the prohibition to be exaggerated to give an opportunity to return to power in the style of his idol, the president of the United States, Donald Trump.

But those plans were attenuated last month when the Supreme Court ordered Bolsonaro in March to be tried for charges of consigning a coup against Lula.

If it is convicted, the former army captain runs the risk of a prison over 40 years and political banishment.

Nicknamed the “Trump of the Tropics”, Bolsonaro has been the objective of multiple investigations since his turbulent years as leader of the largest economy in Latin America.

Bolsonaro, who hopes to return in the presidential elections of 2026, began to begin a political tour of Rio Grande do Norte on Friday.

He was taken to a hospital where he was “stabilized”, according to the right -wing senator Rogerio Marinho, then flown by helicopter to a larger installation in the state capital, native.

Bolsonaro “remains under observation and will spend the night at the hospital,” said Luiz Roberto Fonseca, medical director of the Rio Grande Hospital, a press conference on Friday night.

The surgeon Helio Barreto added that moment, surgery is not planned, “and added that the former president had seen” improve “with” decreased pain. “

The television images had a previous program Bolsonaro walking to the helicopter, with obvious discomfort.

“Thank God, my condition is stable and I am recovering, without fever. Clinical progress is good,” Bolsonaro wrote in Social Network X on Friday.

His message was accompanied by a photo of him in a hospital bed giving a thumb up, with a tube in the nose and electrodes in his bare chest.

“The cause was a complication in the small intestine, a concession of multiple surgeries that needed to submit after the attack in 2018,” he added.

The former president has undergone at least four since then since his stabbing, including the placement and subferent elimination of a colostomy bag, which made him prone to intestinal disorders.
