Curry, Butler carry Warriors to play-in win over Grizzlies | Basketball News

A combined 75 points from Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry against Memphis Grizzlies help the Golden State Warriors describe for the NBA playoffs against Houston’s rocks.

Jimmy Butler III scored 38 points and Stephen Curry added 37 when the Golden State Warriors obtained the seventh seed in the playoffs of the West Conference with a 121-116 house victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in national basketball.

An exciting duel at the Chase de San Francisco Center on Tuesday saw the Warriors endure after a fierce fight of the second half of Memphis, which had followed up to 20 points before meeting to enter the advantage at the end of the game.

But just when Memphis threatened to achieve a famous victory, Curry took a step forward with a huge quarter of 15 points to guide the Warriors to a victory that establishes a series of first round playoffs against Rockets.

Curry ended with six batteries at night, while Butler led all scorers in another masterful performance of the former Miami Heat talisman.

After the game, Butler highlighted his Curry teammate for rescuing the Warriors with a heroic exhibition of the fourth quarter.

“I’m telling you, that’s a Batman if I’ve ever seen a Batman, always saving the day,” Butler said about Curry.

“You’re never out of any game [with Curry]He is so balanced, so quiet and it was a great part of obtaining victory, “he told TNT Television.

“And we have a group of types that have a lot of fight, which never surrenders and did what we were supposed to do.”

Memphis was reflecting on what could have been after an exciting struggle of the second half that fell short, losing a beautiful impulse in the third quarter when Yes Morant was forced to leave for several minutes after the ankle.

Desmond Bane led from the front with 30 points, while Morant, who returned to the game, but was hindered by his injury, ended with 22 points.

The Grizzlies will now face the winner of the other Wednesday game between the Sacramento Kings and the Dallas Mavericks for the final playoff ticket of the West Conference.

Magic dominates hawks

In the other game game on Tuesday, Cole Anthony scored 26 points from the bank when Orlando Magic reserved his place in the first round of the East Conference playoffs with a 120-95 house victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

The superior production of Orlando from the bank proved to be decisive when the magic assured the seventh seed.

Orlando will now play the Boston Celtics in the second sown in the first round of the playoffs, with the game one of his best of seven for Sunday.

Atlanta will face the winner of Wednesday’s game shock between Chicago and Miami on Friday to determine the last position of the East Remination Conference.

In Tuesday’s evidence, Orlando will go to his meeting with the Boston defenders overflowing of trust after a disciplined performance at both ends of the court.

Cole Anthony and his teammate Anthony Black combined for 42 points, including seven triples, to give Orlando the victory.

The Hawks star, brings Young, led the Atlanta score with 28 points before being expelled at the end of the last quarter.
