The Department of Justice (DOJ) requested the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit to raise the order of a judge to “facilitate” the return of CECOT of Abrego García, but the court rejected the request on Thursday.

In the Court’s opinion, Wilkinson repeatedly referred Abrego García as a “resident”, he even thought that Abrego García is not a legal resident of the United States.

The court said that the request of the Department of Justice was “extraordinary and premature” and that would not interfere with the efforts of the district judge to carry out the decision of the Supreme Court.
