A wave of Israeli air attacks has reached multiple camps for displaced Palestinians through Gaza’s strip in the last 24 hours, killing diets of people, according to the Civil Defense Agency of the enclave.
The agency’s spokesman, Mahmud Bassal, said that Israel’s objectives during the night included several tents in the Al-Mawasi area of the southern city of Khan Younis.
“At least 16 martyrs [were killed]Most of them women and children, and another 23 were injured after a direct strike by two Israeli missiles in several tents living in displaced families in the Al-Mawasi or Khan Youn area, ”Bassal told the AFP news agency.
The Al-Mawasi area was designated by Israel as a so-called “humanitarian zone”.
Other seven were killed in an attack on tents in the northern city of Beit Lahiya, while another attack near the Al-Mowasi area killed a father and his son lived in a tent, Bassa said.
