First in Fox: The policies of the Biden Biden era of the “Freedom Nicotina” of President Trump related to nicotine and tobacco products could be prepared to reverse a key rule that experts who spoke with Fox News Digital say it would be a critical step forward.

Shortly before Trump swore the position, Biden’s FDA Propose a rule To describe at that time as “bold” would make “cigarettes and certain other fuelly or non -addictive combustive tobacco products when limiting the level of nicotine in those products.”

Cigarettes and “certain other combustion tobacco products” could not have more than 0.7 milligrams of nicotine per gram or tobacco under the proposed rule, According to the FDA. The agency said the lowest nicotine levels “would be low enough not to create or maintain addiction.”

While the FDA insisted at that time that the rule “would not prohibit” cigarettes, critics do not agree and are optimistic that Trump will continue their impulse for the freedom of nicotine and change the rule.

“Biden’s legacy on tobacco policy is one of Hamfistered’s regulations, paralyzing bureaucracy and the prohibition of feeding mass criminal markets, from cigarettes to Chinese vapes,” Rich Marianos, former deputy director of the ATF, executive director of the Tobacco Law Network, told Fox News Digital.

“President Trump can put the nail in the coffee of that era failed to kill this crazy prohibition of cigarettes and focus resources on the vigilant application.”

Peter Brennan, executive director of the New England Energy Maderings and Marketers (Necsem), told Fox News Digital that “prohibitionist tobacco policy” ends up punishing small businesses by “getting sales of stores and maste

“Biden’s plan to ban all cigarettes is a real threat that still hangs on our heads.” Brennan said. “We hope that President Trump will help United States convenience stores to end this disastrous idea.”

Trump has taken several measures in the nicotine space since he assumed the position, including Withdraw a proposed rule Seeking to prohibit menthol cigarettes, after the Biden administration said it intended to make the prohibition come true after years of defense of anti -tabaco groups.

Months later, the director of the tobacco of the FDA, Brian King, who critics believed that it was a key figure behind the efforts of the administration against the prohibition of mentoles and the “war against nicotine” was eliminated from his position in a movement that experts whooo Spoke with Fox News Digital Praised earlier this month.

“President Trump has gone to his success in his crusade of Nicotina’s freedom since he assumed the position, reacting to the Biden mentol prohibition and the FDA architect behind her,” said a republican strategist who worked to choose Trump in 2024 to Fox News Digital this week. “The next logical step is to repeal a rule of the Biden era on the prohibition of low nicotine products, which will be the final blow to the biden war against nicotine.”
