Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Rescue teams in the Dominican Republic dug in the remains of a legendary nightclub on Thursday whose Collapsed roof Earlier this week, killing at least 221 people, but the hopes of finding survivors were thin.
Meanwhile, the boxes of people in the capital of Santo Domingo were still looking for their loved ones and increasingly frustrated because they are damaging any response after visiting hospitals and the country’s forensic institute.

The doctors warned that some of the two patients who remained hospitalized were not yet clear, especially the eight that were in critical condition.
“If trauma is too big, there is not much time left” to save patients in that condition, said Health Minister, Dr. Víctor Atallah.
He and other doctors said the injuries include fractures of the skull, femur and pelvis caused by cement slabs that fall on people who attack a meringue concert in the Jet Set night club in Santo Domingo. More than 200 were Kured.
The government said Wednesday night that it was moving at a recovery phase focused on finding bodies, but Juan Manuel Méndez, director of the Emergency Operations Center, said the teams in the place were still looking for victims and possible survivors, although no one has been found alive since Tuesday afternoon.

Names of emerging victims
The legendary club was full of musicians, professional athletes and government officials when the dust began to fall from the roof and in people’s drinks early. Minutes later, the roof collapsed.
The victims include the Rubby Pérez Merengue icon, who sang the leg to the crowd before the ceiling fell; Former MLB players Octavio Dotel and Tony Enrique Blanco Cabrera; and Nelsy Cruz, the governor of the northwestern province of Montecristi, whose brother is the seven -time baseball star Nelson Cruz.
A retired official from the United Nations were also killed; The saxophonist Luis Solís, who played on stage when the roof fell; The fashion designer based in New York Martín Polanco; Son and daughter -in -law of the Minister of Public Works; The brother of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Youth; and three employees of Grupo Popular, a financial services company, including the president of the Popular Bank of AFP and his wife.
Randolfo Rijo Gómez, director of the country’s 911 system, said he received more than 100 calls, including several people buried under the rubble. He pointed out that the police arrived at 90 seconds, followed minutes later by the first response units. In less than half an hour, 25 soldiers, seven fire brigades and 77 ambulances were activated, he said.
The teams used dogs and thermal cameras to find victims and rescued 145 survivors of the debris, authorities said.

Attention to turn the cause of the collapse of survey
It was not immediately clear what caused the roof to collapse, or when the jet set building was inspected for the last time.
The Government said Wednesday night that once the recovery phase ends, it will launch an exhaustive investigation.
The club issued a statement saying that it was cooperating with the authorities. A spokesman for the club -owned family told Associated Press that he transmitted questions about possible inspections.
Meanwhile, a spokesman from the Ministry of Public Works sent questions to the mayor’s office. A spokesman for the mayor’s office did not respond to a request for comments.
