Indiana’s governor Mike Braun, Indiana Republican, became the last leader in promulgating health -related policies. On Tuesday, Braun signed a package of nine executive orders to “make Indiana again healthy.”
The Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Centers for the Services Administrator of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Dr. Ir. Mehmet Oz joined Braun in an event on Tuesday where the three talked about the importance of healthy eating.

In his orders, Braun made changes to the Supplementary Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), requested a study on the impact of artificial food dyes and described a comprehensive chronic disease plan focused on the diets of Indiana residents.
One of the main changes in SNAP would require body beneficiaries who currently do not work to avoid employment. In addition, sweets and soft drinks will no longer be eligible for purchase with SNAP benefits in Indiana. Kennedy praised the “brave and visionary leadership” of Braun in a statement and urged the governors through the country to the executive orders of Signelar so that their own states are healthier. Oz also praised the work of Indiana’s governor, saying: “By prioritizing adequate prevention, nutrition and healthy lifestyle options, we can prepare our younger generations for a lifetime of success.”

At the end of last month, Kennedy appeared with the governor of West Virginia, Patrick Morrisey, R, who said it would be put in a “really rigorous” exercise regime and a carnivorous diet. Western Virginia is the most obese state in the country, followed by Mississippi and Arkansas, according to CDC data.
Morrisey celebrated Snap reforms, saying that he was “putting” nutrition “in the complementary nutritional assistance program.”
