Sixteen arrested when the authorities say they have frustrated a plot that involved explosives and a drone factory.
Jordan says he has arrested 16 people, frustrating a plot that threatened national security and invaded manufacturing and importing illegally rockets, explosives and a drone production site.
In a statement on Tuesday, the General Intelligence Department said it discovered plans to recruit and train “agents” in Jordan and abroad, without providing more details.
A drone factory was also found, according to the statement published in the state media.
He added that the authorities issued the trial after “near intelligence monitoring since 2021”.
In the past, Jordan said he frustrated several assumptions suddenly by members of ISIL (ISIS). These included plans for a series of attacks on security facilities, as well as civil infrastructure.
