The Judge of Massachusetts, Beverly Cannone, established a deadline on Friday for the Karen Defense Team to turn on the additional revelations about the controversial firm of reconstruction of accidents that is essential for its defense while facing a trial on the murder positions.
Reading, now 45, was dating O’Keefe when he died at age 46 in January 2022. Prosecutors say she supported her Lexus SUV in him, then left him dead in a suburb of a snowstorm.
She declared herself innocent and argued that she is being framed. His first judgment ended with a jury dead last year, and an important element of his defense was the testimony of expert witnesses of two members of Arcca, the reconstruction firm, who said that O’Keefe fatal with her.

The special prosecutor Hank Brennan warned in the Court on Wednesday that without additional revelations about what experts will say this time, he is worried that there may be a “ambushed judgment” in which his new claims.
Arcca witnesses have been a key issue before the second Read trial, and Brennan asked the Court to prevent his testimony about the concerns that they were not independent as described and had been hired by the defense without their financial ties being revealed. That motion was denied.

Since then, he said that he has been scared for revelations for months or not available, and that the parties had a contentious exchange in court on the subject on Wednesday.

“If it were so obvious that this would happen, it would be so upset about that,” Brennan told the judge.
Defensor lawyer Alan Jackson described Brennan’s protest “pretended outrage” and said that Arcca witnesses were working on a refutation to an expert in processing revealed in February. He said the defense resorted to the final report of that expert on March 24 and would become disseminations as soon as they were available.

Cannone gave the defense until 5 pm on Friday. Opening statements are scheduled for Tuesday.
