The legendary University Soccer Analyst Lee Corso, 89, announced Thursday that after almost four decades in the air with ESPN, he will retire after a final “College Gameday” Transmitted at the end of this summer.

“My family and I will always be indebted for the opportunity to be part of ESPN and College Gameday for almost 40 years. I have a treasure of many friends, long distance memories and some unusual experiences to take me to retirement,” he said in a statement in a statement.

“ESPN has been exceptionally generous to me, the thesis especially fits a few years. They accommodated me and supported me, just like my colleagues in the first days of the university game.”
Corso will enter retirement after its last broadcast with “College Gameday” on August 30. He will be 90 years old when he goes up to the stage one last time.
Corso first joined the network 38 years ago in 1987 and remains at least for a short time, the only original personality in the air for “College Gameday”. He became full -time analyst in 1989, working with many greats, but in his last goodbye, Parade thanked a particular person.

“I just wanted to say that I love you,” Herbstreit said in a video published in X. “I thank you for so many lessons that you taught me. Almost 30 years together, I enjoyed sitting next to the show.
“You are an icon,” he added. “You are a unique person in life, a unique radio station in life.”
