Melania Trump shares message ahead of White House Easter Egg Roll on Good Friday

As Holy Week approaches its end of accumulation, the first lady Melania Trump Tok a X to reach Americans for Good Friday. He also shared his emotion for the next Easter egg roll of the White House.

“That this Friday inspires hope and faith for all Americans and our friends worldwide,” wrote the first lady.

“As families from all over the country meet to celebrate Easter,” he also wrote, “I extend my gratitude to the dedicated personnel of the East Wing for their tireless effort in the Easter egg roll of the previous White House.”

“This precious tradition, rooted in history since 1878, brings joy, narration of stories and laughter to the children of the United States,” he continued.

This will be the 147 of the tradition that goes back to the presidency of Rutherford B. Hayes in 1878, according to the White House website.

Before that time, egg rolls were “prohibited in the fields of the United States Capitol due to an increase in popularity that the landscapes of caution,” the same source declared.

“I hope to see all the smiles illuminate this memorable day, Monday,” wrote the first lady Melania Trump.

The planning of the egg roll generally falls to the first ladies of the United States, and each woman incorporates their own tastes and interests in the event.

The festivities included going in part of the grass to dance and introduce traditional egg races, according to the White House website.

Attendees are selected through an online lottery that ended on March 10.

Every year, children who attend receive wooden eggs from memories as a commemorative piece to take home.

The White House egg roll will take place on the southern grass of the White House on Monday, April 21.
