A Venezuelan migrant was arrested for the sixth time in the last year for allegedly stealing a woman at a pistol, a few days after prosecutors in a city of Sanctuary of Illinois withdrew additional charges against him.
Edmonds Peraza Cortez, 25, faces a serious crime of armed robbery with a gun, In accordance with the Chicago Police Department.
Cortez allegedly rode a bicycle on April 11 when he approached a 41 -year -old woman, wielding a gun and shouting: “Money! Money!”

Cortez allegedly demanded that the woman deliver her cell phone, wallet and electric scooter.
The police located and arrested Cortez less than an hour after the alleged robbery. The incident was Caht in surveillance images, CWB Chicago reported.
Cortez has been arrested six times in just 13 months, and the prosecutors dropped four of the cases against him.
Information about a Cortez lawyer was not immediately available.

The incident occurred only three days after Cortez was released from electronic monitoring after prosecutors dismissing a case of narcotics against him, according to CWB Chicago. Cortez is waiting for the judgment on reckless conduct and possession of a replica of firearms charges.
The Office of the Cook County State Prosecutor and the Chicago Police Department did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital Comments.
Earlier this week, Mayor Brandon Johnson defended the election of the city to remain a sanctuary for undocumented migrants.

“Violence is low, investments have increased and we will continue moving in that direction to build a more inclusive economy for everyone,” said Johnson.
Johnson did not respond immediately to the request for comments from Fox News Digital.
The representative Jesús “Chuy” García, D-Bill., Withdrew violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants as simply “immigrants committing some crimes” in a judicial subcommentary about the integration of immigration, security and application hearing.
“Republicans have raised some tragedies that involve immigrants committing some crimes,” Garcia said. “This is the exception, not the rule. I live in an immigrant neighborhood in Chicago. I know what it is.”

García’s comments drawn a strong reprimand of the Chicago Flips Red Vice President Danielle Carter-Walters.
“It is curious that Mr. García be from Chicago, and he cannot tell him what is happening in our community. At a status hearing on Thursday, a judge ordered Cortez to remain in custody while waiting for an official accusation, the court says, “the accused is accused of a very serious crime. I think it is a danger to the community.
