The manager of the Dodgers, Dave Roberts, said that Ohtani was with his wife and went to the MLB paternity list, before the opening of the Dodgers series on Friday night against the Texas Rangers.

Ohtani can lose up to three games while in Paternity Leave. The Dodgers have a series of three games in Texas before a day off on Monday, then play in the Chicago puppies on Tuesday.
