With the deadline for real identifications that are quickly approaching, many Americans are struggling to reserve appointments to obtain the new documentation, especially in the state of New Jersey.
As of May 7, air travelers in national airports and people entering some federal buildings must have what is known as a real identification.
On Monday in the state of Garden, the website of the Motorized Vehicle Department (NJDMV) showed “0 Aviable quotes” for real identification services on its site.

However, there were 13,243 appointments available for non -conductive identifications, 34,155 open appointments to transfer driver’s licenses from outside the State and 51,809 available renewal appointments.
If a driver’s license falls within the renewal period, the person can reserve a renovation appointment to update real identification, and there are 51,809 appointments available.

Fox News Digital contacted Governor Phil Murphy’s office to comment.
“As seen in the states throughout the country, the real identification demand is now extraordinarily high before the start of the federal application in May,” said the NJDMV automated voice service on Monday.

“The NJMVC is processing record numbers of character transactions, real special IDS, and we continue to evaluate our operations and capacity every week, seeking to add so many appointments for a real possible identification,” added the spokesman.

The processing time for an accelerated passport is two to three weeks with additional rates, agreed to the website of the State Department.

For Americans who do not have a passport and cannot obtain an appointment with DMV in time, the AAA selected branches offer a real identification service.
An AAA spokesman told Fox News Digital that real identification services vary throughout the country and are available in six states, with New Jersey not included in that list.
“Some AAA branches that are sacrificed for services can also issue real identifications. We recommend calling the AAA branch in its local area to determine if these services are available,” said the spokesman.

The spokesman added: “The process is the same as in the DMV. However, there may be greater access to appointments in AAA branches. It also varies according to the location, but in some cases, these services are only available for AAA members.”
Two residential management tests, a social security number test and six identification points in the appointments are required.
