NFL News: Bears star Caleb Williams not using his time to socialize

Caleb Williams, the best selection in the NFL draft last year, experienced some ups and downs of his rookie season.

However, the Chicago Bears Field Marshal is speaking at least one of the ways in which he plans to approach his second NFL season. Developing close friends with other field marshal in the entire league is something that Williams is simply not interested.

In an interview with Esquire, the winner of the Heisman trophy acknowledged that other Quarterbacks are “great probable types.” However, he is not necessarily prioritizing to know any of them on a personal level.

Williams’ justification focused on his belief that having a strong link with the counterparts could make his competitive advantage lose. “I think the NFL game has become very friendly, and not necessarily because being friends, because to maintain that competitive advantage,” he said.

The Bears ended last season with a disappointing record of 5-12. The Bears relieved Matt Eberflus of their coach duties in November, only one day after receiving considerable guilt for not matching the clock on a 23-20 defeat against the Detroit Lions.

Eberflus’s almost three mandate in the wind and windy city was tarnished by a burst of losses of the last second and ended with a six games lost streak. Thomas Brown became an interim chief coach. Chicago hired Ben Johnson in January.

The Bears did a lot of additions to their list once the NFL free agency relieved last month. The team reinforced its offensive line when acquiring the Drew Dalman Center and the guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson.

Williams made it clear that winning is the main expectation in 2025. “The plan is to win big,” Williams said.
