Rays’ Jose Caballero hikes ball for double play, 1 day after robbing home run

José Caballero has put a defensive clinic in the last 24 hours, both in the countryside and in the garden.

On Friday night, he stole Ben Rice of a home run in the right garden.

It was a nightmare scenario for Rays Shane Baz’s pitcher, and Goldschmidt worsened things by hitting a 105 mph land ball.

But Baz was in good hands with gentleman.

The 28 -year -old initially came with the ball cleanly, but could keep it in front of him. And he had no choice but to get an out making his best imposing from Jason Kelce.

Caballero walked the ball to Brandon Lowe for the first time, and shot her first. Goldschmidt was initially ruled safely, but the repetitions showed that the man of the first base of the Yankees lost the base, so a double play was regulated.

The third in third scored, and the next batter, Jazz Chishholm, brought it home. But without gentleman’s magic, it could have been a much longer entry.

Caballero was in the right garden on Friday night when he stole Rice, another red Yankee toletero or a two -run shot.

The Yankees won 1-0 on Friday.

The Rays are 8-12, while New York is riding a five-game winning streak 13-7.
