Teddi Mellencamp is opening on how his diagnosis of cancer is affecting his children.
Duration A recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former 43 -year -old reality star reflected on how her battle against cancer has affected her relationship with her three children and the fears she has about the future.

One of Mellencamp’s fears implies not spending enough time with his children while continuing with the various treatments, including radiation, immunotherapy and surgeries to eliminate new tumors as cancer spreads.
“I remember that one day at the hospital I said:” I feel that today could be Dove, “he explained.” And Edwin says “it is. It’s his party today you planned.” I thought: “Can you let me out for today?”
He explained that Mirhegh Arroyave assured him that “they will throw another” when he is out of treatment, Mellencamp said: “My heart broke because I am marveling,” will you remember that I was there? “
In a separate interview with Extra, Mellencamp said his daughters are fine because they ask many questions about his diagnosis, but his son “is a bit confused because he is not asking questions.”

Mellencamp was originally diagnosed with melanoma in stadium 2 in October 2022 and underwent multiple surgeries to eliminate 16 melanomas before learning in February 2025, had multiple brain tumors. After a procedure to eliminate tumors, Mellencamp learned that cancer had spread to their lungs. He later learned that he had four more tumors in his brain.
Duration A recent interview with “Nightline”, Mellencamp said doctors have it, has a possibility of “50/50” to survive cancer.
