The president of Singapore, Thharman Shamugaratnam, dissolved on Tuesday the Parliament of the city-state, racing the way for a general election.
This was done with the Council on Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. A statement from the Prime Minister’s office declared that the day of nomination will be April 23.
The return officer will announce a voting date later.
This will be the 14th General Choice of Singapore from Independence, and will be Wong’s first as Prime Minister.
According to the local media, CNA is expected that the action party of the ruling people will be the challenge for the 97 parliamentary seats. The concerns of the voters who go to this choice include the cost of living, the works and the Inemployers, CNA reported, citing a Jandray survey.
The election occurs in a moment of global agitation, since the president of the United States, Donald Trump, is at the height of Hijfly rates both in friends and enemies.
Wong said in a ministerial statement on April 8: “We are very disappointed by the United States movement, especially taking into account the deep and long friendship between our two countries.”
