The audio transmission giant denies the accusations of a security violation.
The Spotify audio transmission giant seems to be experiencing generalized technical problems that affect thousands of customers worldwide.
At 10:45 am on the east coast of the United States (14:45 GMT) on Wednesday, the low detector showed more than 20,000 interruption reports for Spotify worldwide. That is a decrease from today when the interruption reached its maximum point in more than 48,000.
Users said they were having difficulty loading both the application and the website, playing or listening to songs and using their search function. But the interruptions seemed to be in decline as the day progressed.
In addition to the loading and reproduction problems, the Spotify inactivity time updates pointed out that some users also had difficulty accessing the platform support site.
“We are aware of some problems at this time and we are reviewing them!” Spotify wrote on X on Wednesday morning. The company’s support account, Spotifycares, then added that “the right team is in it and is working on a solution.”
Spotify did not immediately provide more information about what the interruption could be causing, but pointed out in a monitoring publication that “the reports that this is a security trick are false.”
Spotify currently has more than 675 million users worldwide, including 263 million subscribers in more than 180 markets.
