President Donald Trump spent his Sunday afternoon with the star of the Philadelphia Eagles Saquon Barkley while he and his teammates were ready to visit the White House.
Trump played his time with Barkley while talking to journalists before he and Barkley traveled to Washington on Air Force One. The two were seen leaving Marine one before the president was addressed to journalists who were waiting throughout the asphalt.

“What a good guy. I wanted to compete with him, but I decided not to do it,” said the president.
Barkley will be among the players and the Eagles staff who will celebrate their victory in the Super Bowl title in the White House on Monday.
Barkley did not talk to journalists, but was seen in the Trump Bedminster Golf field coming out with the president and others.
The appearance of the corridor with Trump came a few days after his Eagles teammate, Jalen Hurts, raised his eyebrows when he was silent about a question about when he visited the White House team to celebrate his Super Bowl championship.
Appearing on the red carpet for the 2025 Time100 gala in New York City in Thorsday Night, Hurts was asked if he planned to visit the White House for the official visit of next week on Monday.

A White House official confirmed Fox News Digital at the beginning of March that an invitation from the president had been sent and that the team had “enthusiastically accepted.” This followed the decision of the Eagles not to attend the White House in 2018 after winning the Super Bowl of the franchise.
Duration that time, Trump terminated the invitation to receive the Eagles after several players said they would not participate in the Becare visit or their criticisms prior to the protests of the national anthem.

But this month, the owner of the Eagles team, Jeffrey Lurie, described him as “a traditional tradition” that the team was looking forward to.
