On Thursday, Trump and Meloni said they trust that the United States and Europe could resolve a commercial agreement. Trump presented 20% tariffs on the assets of the European Union that arrived in the United States on April 2, but announced on April 9 that the rates would remain at 10% for 90 days to allow the United States and the EU to reach an agreement.

“There will be a commercial agreement, 100%,” Trump told reporters. “Or the course there will be a commercial agreement, they want to make one and we are going to make a trade agreement. I hope it, but it will be a fair treatment.”
