Trump slams effort to rid America of Christian principles

President Donald Trump participated in a prayer and dinner service on Wednesday night as part of a series of Easter events before Easter this weekend.

The religious leaders of several Christian denominations were present and listed for the president to address them about the importance of faith, both in the government and in the personal life of people. Trump also took the time to promote his achievements recently in line with Christian beliefs, and criticized efforts to move away the country from its Christian foundation.

“This is really, I hope, it will be one of the great Easter, because we have something that I do not believe that this country has seen in 100 years. And as we meet with family and friends, we will not forget the true source of our joy and our strength: the United States has trusted God,” Trump said directing his speech to the attendees. “It will always be” in God we trust. “We never changed that.”

“You know there is a movement to change it,” Trump continued. “Want what happens. We can let that happen. Can you imagine a movement to change that?”

Trump also criticized the former administrations for not defending persecuted Christians throughout the world, reassuring the multitude of religious leaders who attended that things would be different under their administration.

“We had no one fighting for our Christians in other parts of the world, which were so incredible destroyed, killed, killed, wounded. But died, so many died. They would say this that could happen at this time.

Trump also commented on the anti -Christian bias exhibited in the United States, pointing to those who attended that he established a working group of the Department of Justice to highlight. Trump will continue his celebrations of Holy Week with another Prayer Service tomorrow, on Holy Thursday, which will again include several faith leaders of different Christian denominations and members of the President’s staff. The event will include Christian hymns sung by musicians associated with the University of Liberty, a private Christian university in Virginia.

According to reports, the White House also organizes a Easter event on Thursday afternoon, to celebrate the Jewish holidays that beg on April 12 and ends April 20.

“With the help of God we can overcome every challenge, succeed on every evil and restore the spirit of faith in the United States for coming generations,” Trump concluded. “We have a very simple slogan:” Make the United States again is great, “and that is exactly what we are doing.”

In addition to the leaders of the faith, Patty Morin, whose death of his daughter at the hands of an illegal immigrant in 2023, an important point of duration of the dispute, the last election was also present at the Wednesday dinner service.
