President Donald Trump said in an interview that is broadcast on Tuesday with Rachel Campos-Duffy of Fox News that it was a “true opportunity”, tariffs could replace income tax.

“There is a real possibility,” Trump said. “There is the possibility that tariff money can be so great that it would be replaced. You know, in the old days, around 1870 to 1913, tariffs were the only form of money. And that is what our nation was relatively the richest.”

The full interview with Trump will be broadcast on Tuesday afternoon in Fox News at 4 PM et. The president said during the interview that there was a committee formed in the 1880s to “get rid of money.”

“And the only purpose of this committee was how to get rid of him, to whom to give it, what do we do? And then, brilliantly, in 1913, to the income tax system. Then, around 1932, they tried the rate, but it was.” And they loved to blame tariffs for the great depression. But the great depression came before putting the tariffs. “

The president was also asked about how much money the country was earned.

“Millions and billions of dollars and, fighters of billions of dollars, approximately a period of one year. Before giving a little pause to lower a little because it is a transition. You have to have a little and little and have a little and little and have little and have a very horn.

The president also said during the interview that he is open to sending violent American criminals to the El Salvador prisons.

“It has made it a very safe place,” Trump said about El Salvador president, Nayib Bukele, who welcomed the White House on Monday. “People go, and they feel very safe and safe. They are also building one but also other prisons. Very large, and we use the system because we are getting rid of our criminals in the United States that were allowed to come.”
