Two Marines in their 20s identified as service members killed in fatal accident

The two members of the service who died due to an accident near Santa Teresa, New Mexico, earlier this week were Lance CPL, 22 years old. Albert A. Aguilera or Riverside, California and Lance CPL, 28. Marcelino M. Gamino or Fresno, California, according to the 1st Marine Division

“The officials of the 1st Marine Division identified the two Marines who were killed after a vehicle accident on April 15 while supporting the operations of the Southern Joint Task Force,” says a press release. “The accident occurred with a duration of a convoy movement near Santa Teresa, New Mexico.”

Both men were combat engineers, according to the press release of April 17, which also pointed out that another Marine was in critical condition and underwent treatment.

Both men were combat engineers, according to the press release of April 17, which also pointed out that another Marine was in critical condition and underwent treatment. (US Marines)

“The three Marines were transported to the University Medical Hospital, El Paso, Texas, where Aguilar and Gamino were declared dead,” said the statement. “The incident is under investigation.”

The injured service member is with the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, as well as the two Marines who died, the 1st Marines Division reported.

“The loss of Lance CPL. Aguilera and Lance Cpl. Gamino is deeply feeling for all of us,” said the first battalion of combat engineers and the task force to the commander of the Marines Corps of Marines, Colonel Tyrone A. Barrion, according to the press release.

“I extend my most sincere condolences and prayers to the families of our fallen brothers. Our highest priority at this time is to ensure that their families and the marines affected by their death are fully supported at this difficult time.”

Fox News Digital communicated with the 1st Marines Division on Friday, but did not receive an answer at the time of publication.
