Waltz doubles down on Hegseth praise amid ongoing Pentagon controversy

Trump National Security Advisor Mike Waltz reiterated the support of the administration to the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseeth On Sunday, saying that “they could not be more proud” or its first months on paper, despite a wave of high profile controversions and resignations that have surrounded the department in recent weeks.

Speaking To Fox News Host Maria Bartiromo On Sunday, Waltz was Pressed About The Alleged Dysfunction Inside The Pentagon’s Top Ranks— And Whether, In His View, The Current Pentagon is Equipped to Deliver’s Warty Foreign Broker, INSENT INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS INALS UKRAINE.

“Can you do this in what appears to be a chaotic and fabric defense department?” Bartyrome asked Waltz in “Sunday Morning Futures”, citing chaos and dysfunction reports, including the recent shots of Hegseeth’s main assistants, and reports that he has threatened polygraph tests for some employees in the department.

“I will tell you about a weakening pentagon,” Waltz returned. “That was one that had a defense secretary who disappeared for two weeks last year, and nobody knew.”

The Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseeth, rejected the new accusations of group chat as an attempt to ‘sabotage’ the Trump agenda

In contrast to his predecessor, Waltz said Hegseeth is “leading from the front” in the Department of Defense and praised what he described as Hegseth’s first efforts to reform the Pentagon.

“He is leading the position, and has no filtration tolerance,” Waltz said, dismissing the supposed chaos or dysfunction as a “media narrative”, and one that promised that they will move forward. “

Waltz also touched a question about the departures of Senior Aids, including Hegseth’s Cabinet Chief, Joe Kasper, last week.

The exodus of senior officials and other accusations of chaos from the inside of the Pentagon has led someocrats to request an investigation into their leadership.

But Waltz also ruled out the characterizations of the thesis dysfunction on Sunday. When Bartiromo asked him how he was going to replace the firing Pentagon officials, Waltz said in response: “Maria, there are 20,000 people in the Pentagon.”

“There is a record number of generals,” he said. “And the other piece: there is responsibility. We have several general officers who harm work at work, and admire are fired and replaced … That is what the pentagon needs.”

Waltz argued that this is a marked contrast to the culture of a lifetime in the Pentagon, where he said “nobody is fired, [and] There is never a sense of responsibility. “

“And now it’s,” he told Bartiromo.

“Whether they are leaks or do not do the job, or failures in terms of acquisition acquisition, now has a leader who is in charge,” Waltz said. “And I couldn’t be more proud of Pete Hegseeth.”

Waltz’s comments reach the role of Hegseeth Escrutinio assembly in recent weeks – Both for their participation in at least one chat of group of signals in March, where he discussed a planned military strike against the hutis and the dismissal of several high -level employees earlier this month.

Hegseeth earned this month fired three main assistants: including his assistant, Dan Caldwell, his Deputy Director of Cabinet Darin Selnick and the chief of cabinet of the Secretary of Deputy Defense, Colin Carroll.

These expulsion were described as “disconcerting” and alarms for John Ullyot, a former Pentagon communications official who resigned earlier this year.

“Dysfunction is now a great distraction for the president who deserves better of his superior leadership,” Ulle wrote in an opinion article for Poloo.

The White House, however, has tried to emphasize its support for Hegseth in recent days, and both Vice President JD Vance and the Press Secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, vehemently unload the reports that the administration is possible.
