“Harvard’s statement today reinforces the worrying mentality of rights that is endemic in our most prestigious universities and colleges, that federal investment does not have the responsibility of defending the boys of civil rights,” said the working group. “The interruption of learning that has affected campus in recent years is unacceptable. The harassment of Jewish students is intolerable.
“It’s time for elite universities to take the problem seriously and commit to significant change if they want continuous support from recurrent taxpayers,” the statement said.
