The flexibility and accessibility of online courses are well aligned with the values and rapid rhythm lifestyle of this generation. As technology continues to evolve, so will the possibilities for online education, especially with online learning that arises as a crucial tool for growth.
Online courses have increased in popularity during the last decade between generation Z, offering a viable alternative to traditional classroom -based learning. Platforms such as Jaro Education, Times Pro and Eruditus provide access to a wide range of prestigious institutions courses, which makes education more accessible. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of online learning.
Studies show that 28 percent of Z genes and 23 percent or millennials in India are interested in seeking higher education and abilities improvement, highlighting a change towards permanent learning. With around 377 million GEN Z people and around 300 million millennials, these digital native generations with a natural affinity towards technology make online education a natural adjustment for them.
Online education is restructuring the highest learning panorama in India, which allows millennial generation and millennials to improve their skills and remain relevant. There is a particularly high demand for online courses in business management, technology, data analysis and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence (AI). The flexibility, accessibility and affordability of online education train people to advance their careers. Around 60 universities, including IIT, IIM and IIIT, now offer solid online programs. The reforms initiated by the new 2020 educational policy ensure that only first level institutions sacrifice credible and approved online programs, thus improving their quality. In addition, these Edtech platforms also provide credible online certifications in high demand courses, especially those sought by multinational corporations of good reputation.
In an increasingly competitive labor market, acquiring skills ready for the future is essential for the professional progress of the ZS generation. Online education equips them with practical skills relevant to emerging industries, which empowers the ZS generation to follow professional progress and business efforts with confidence.
One of the most significant contributions of online education is its role in democratization of access to quality education, especially for the generation of zs of disadvantaged environments. Unlike the previous generations that followed a traditional path of education, generation Z is leveraging the power of technology to improve learning experience and define success in its own terms. While major generations can see that their strategies are not conventional, reality is clear. The GEN ZS approach is making it its preferred education mode.
