Golf rounds can never close. You are alone, the competition and a boundless course. The routine of driving on the golf cart from Tee to Tee seems everyday, stopping and nerve -racking especially when there are nocks. No time to stop, think and … pee?
Except on Thursday at the Masters, where reigned by the American amateur champion Jose Luis Ballester, just no longer holds Coul and his pride risked for a much -needed bathroom break.
Ballester, 21-year-old from Spain, had to use the toilet on the Worst Way on the Par-5 13th Hole, where Justin Thomas had beaten his group in the Azalea bus behind the Green. Waiting for Thomas to find and save his ball, Ballester took the chance to find lighting.
“Didn’t really know where to go, and because JT had a problem with the green, I have something like that:” I’m just going to sneak here in the river and probably people would not see me so much, “he said.
On Saturday, Ballester said that he apologized with Augusta National Golf Club after the viral tagte infringement. “I already apologized at the club,” he said, “and I think we’ll continue from this moment.”
His comments eat less than two days after Ballester, the sixth ranking in the world, doubled on Thursday by saying: “It was at all remits for me at all. If I had to do it, I would be doing it again.”
After all, it was difficult to concentrate on a chip of the rough or a putt of the green while trying to hold. Rugardless, Ballester is 4 over and Ted for 73rd place after round 1 on Thursday.
For a moment, after he had delivered himself, Ballester thought he had avoided the eye of the audience when his back to the stands was used to it while he went to Rae’s Creek. Inverterad, when he was ready, he got a round of Applase.
“Probablay one of the blows that I really got today, really loud,” said Ballester after opening a 76. “So that was pretty funny.”
His big mistake was not that there was a toilet near the 13th Tee box. This is the first masters for the Senior of the Arizona State.
The use of the course for relief is not so unusual in Golf; Players will often dive into the forest or leave the crowd somewhere. But there is no Hoss Atugusta National, and for Ballester this was not time to wait.
