It is a downward year for the tight end market, with only a few starting options in the position that a free desk affects. A few tight ends could also be selected in the first round of the NFL design of 2025, and further pushes the free desk into the position.
That said, there are subject good free agents in the tight final position. We have interviewed a group of writers from around SB Nation to collect consensus rangers about the players. Although there are no unanimous choices among the couple, because people appreciate different WR properties, our groups distinguishes themselves in submissive levels.
We will remove players from the list if repeating their current teams to the opening of the Free Office in March.
In anticipation of the tight ends of the free agent on the way to 2025

10. Pharaoh Brown, Seattle Seahawks
The Veeran Journeyman is at the age of 31 and has only 65 yards in 2024 with the Seahawks. I am a role player at best. Update: Brown joined the dolphins
9. Johnny Mundt, Minnesota Vikings
The back -up tight end for Minnesota is a usually reliable target and his time in Minnesota is consistent; Just under 20 catches, between 140 and 170 meters, and one/two touchdowns in each of these three seasons. UPDATE: Mundt signed a deal with the Jaguars.
8. John Bates, Washington Commandants
Bates was one of the three tight ends to earn a First-Pace mood, but he was also completely omitted from two ballot papers. He is young, but is taken to the back seat to Zach Ertz in Washington. This year I only have 84 assessment yards. Update: John Bates again signed in Washington.
7. Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts
The 31-Ruar-Old that you played for a team other than the Colts, but has recorded most of his career in 2024. That did not translate into production because he fits the least since 2019 Corde. UPDATE: After leaving for a month on the market, Alie-Cox returns to the Colts.
6. Kylen Granson, Indianapolis Colts
The tight end of the Oher Colts, Granson’s figures are hardly better than Alie-Cox. A pick in the fourth round that comes in his first free desk depends a lot on the team of the team that signs him and how they explored him in 2021. Just like his teammate, Mo Alie-Cox, he has never had more than 31 catches or 400 meters.
5. Zach Ertz, commanders from Washington
Ertz was in everyone’s top five, except that one voter left him completely from their list. He is the first option to start the caliber on this list, but he has just turned 34, so his value is limited. For an intoxicating player, he reads the right and comes in a good position. He missed parts of 2022 and 2023 with injuries, but played all 17 games in 2024, caught more than 60 balls and topping 600 yards, and he has always been a reliable end zone target. Update: Ertz signed a one -year -old deal to stay in Washington.
4. Tyler Conklin, New York Jets
With sum high voices, but also for submitting votes, it is difficult to evaluate players on the dysfunctional jets at the moment. He will be 30 this season, but makes a solid contribution to two teams with several quarterbacks that go back to enter the starting line -up in Minnesota in 2021. Yet he comes from a Down Year in Jersey. UPDATE: Conklin signed deal with the chargers in a year.
3. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
Johnson received in the first place from our panel, but was the top five on two other ballot papers. Formerly unguomed wide recipient, he made the switch to in the pros. His best season came in 2022 when he lasted 42 passes for 508 Yards and seven touchdowns. His production is not excellent otherwise. UPDATE: Johnson again signed with the saints on Drie-Ir Deal.
2. Austin Hooper, New England Patriots
Hooper has been a very existing performer for a long period for a long period and has risen with inconsistent QB game during the serious seasons since leaving the Atlanta Falcons in 2019. I earned two Pro Bowl-Knikjes after a third-londe choice, and he also has talent, but also 30. Update: Hooper signed a deal in New England at a year.
1. Mike Gesicki, Cincinnati Bengals
Our clear number one, Gesicki received two voices in the first place. He was very good for the dolphins in his first four seasons, but was parried in 2022 under Mike McDaniels. He has since spent a year with the Patriots and Bengal. His year with Mac Jones in New England was not good, but he bundled back with Joe Burrow in 2024 and has solid figures that enter the market. He could get money much better than the $ 2.5 million he made in 2024. Update: Gesicki signed a new deal during the weekend before the free desk was opened.

Recently released tight ends
These tight ends were released after our rankings were composed in the run -up to the competition year 2025.
Durham Smythe
It is difficult to evaluate Smythe with his quartz back game in 2024, and he turns 30 before the season starts. He only played for Miami as a starter, but a side issue in their attack. It is hard to imagine that he is making a big leap in his eighth NFL season, especially a year when he only knew nine receptions. UPDATE: Signed with the beats for a one -year -old deal.
Gerald Everett
The Bears give Everett a year after what means for a deal of two and 12 million of $ 12 million. I immersed the anemic violation of the bears (eight catches for 36 meters), but he could fit in the starting line -up on Sum Ames, even at the age of 31. He had 58 catches for 555 yards and four touchdowns in 2022 and 51 catches for 411 yards and three touchdows in 2023 with the chargers
Evan Grease
A tent in 2023, release the Jaguars release Egram that would appear in 2025 $ 15.75 million. He is 31 and only played nine games for the Jags in 2024 because of a torn Labrum. In 2023 he barely misled a season of 1000 meters and is still able to play 75% of the attacking snaps of a team. UPDATE: Grease drew a two -year -old deal with the Broncos.
